The General Heating & Air helps homeowners in Cypress, Katy, and West Houston lower the cost of a new HVAC system through two stackable programs: the CenterPoint Energy efficiency incentive and the $750 Daikin FIT instant rebate. CenterPoint applies to a wide range of qualifying high-efficiency air conditioners and heat pumps and comes off your invoice. The Daikin rebate is a fixed $750 on qualifying R-32 Daikin FIT replacements through July 31, 2026. We verify eligibility and file all paperwork. The CenterPoint energy-efficiency incentive
CenterPoint Energy runs an incentive for homeowners who replace an aging system with a qualifying high-efficiency one. It is the program with the most reach. It applies across a broad range of qualifying air conditioners and heat pumps, not a single model. The amount depends on the system you choose, its efficiency, and a few details about your current setup, so we calculate your exact eligible amount at your estimate instead of quoting a number that may not fit your home. We apply what qualifies to your invoice and file the program paperwork on our end. You do not fill out forms or wait on a card in the mail.
Why it is the bigger lever:
- Covers more systems. Qualifying air conditioners and heat pumps across a range of efficiencies, so most replacement projects can use it.
- Rewards retiring an old system. If your current system still runs and is on the older side, the project can qualify for more.

CenterPoint lowers the cost on a wide range of systems, and the Daikin rebate adds $750 on a qualifying FIT replacement on top of it. The General Heating & Air's own promotional credits are limited to one per job and do not stack with each other.
