How Much Does an HVAC Service Call Cost?
When your system isn't working properly, you deserve more than a quick guess. Our service call finds the root cause so you can decide what happens next.

What you pay, by membership.
Membership reduces or removes the fee entirely.
Approve your repair and the service call fee is waived.
The General's Watch, the Home Protection Plan, and Five-Star Command all reduce or remove this fee. See what each plan includes.
Extended service area. We serve Cypress, Katy, and the West Houston communities listed on our service area page. A home beyond those areas may be subject to an additional $89 fee. If your address qualifies, we will tell you before your appointment is confirmed.
A service call is a diagnosis, not a look.
It is a complete diagnostic evaluation to find the root cause of the problem.
We listen first
What you have been experiencing, when it started, and what you have already tried.
We test and measure
A full diagnostic evaluation of the affected system using real instruments, not a glance.
We show you what we found
Explained in plain language, with photos or video when the problem is somewhere you cannot easily see.
You get written options
Clear repair options in writing, priced before any work begins. You decide how to move forward.
Sometimes the problem isn't your HVAC system.
Finding the cause takes time, testing, and experience. Occasionally that testing shows the heating and cooling system is not the source of the problem at all. When that happens, we tell you, even if the fix falls outside what we do.
Our goal is to identify the root cause so you can make an informed decision about what comes next.
Service call questions.
Is the service call fee waived?
Yes. If you approve the repair, your service call fee is waived.
What if I decide not to repair my system today?
The service call covers the diagnostic evaluation and the written recommendations. If you decide not to move forward that day, the fee still applies. If you come back later to approve the repair, you will not pay for another service call. The diagnostic work is already done.
Does one service call cover multiple HVAC systems?
Your service call is focused on the concern that prompted the visit. If diagnosing that concern requires evaluating more than one system, we do that as part of the evaluation. For whole-home comfort concerns like humidity, uneven temperatures, or weak airflow, we may recommend a Home Comfort Diagnostic.
What if you discover the problem isn't my HVAC system?
We tell you. Our job is to identify the source of the problem, not to recommend repairs you do not need. If the issue lies outside your heating and cooling system, we explain what we found so you can decide what to do next.
What about nights and weekends?
Our normal hours are 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and the phone is answered around the clock by a person. The after-hours service call is $250, or $150 for The General's Watch and Home Protection Plan members and $100 for Five-Star Command. Unlike the standard service call, the after-hours fee is not waived with the repair.
