These Terms apply to all visitors, customers, and registered members.
2. Services Described
The General Heating & Air provides residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) services in the Cypress, Katy, and greater Northwest Houston area, including but not limited to:
Complimentary system estimates for replacement
Seasonal tune-up and performance services
Diagnostic evaluations
System repair and parts replacement
Full system installation and replacement
Indoor air quality product installation
Preventative maintenance agreements (Home Protection Plan)
Service descriptions, pricing, and availability are subject to change. The information on our website is for general guidance only and does not constitute a binding quote or guarantee of availability.
3. Scheduling and Appointments
When you schedule a service appointment through our website, phone, or third-party booking tools:
You agree to provide accurate contact, location, and system information
You agree to be present or arrange access to your property at the scheduled time
You understand that appointment windows are estimates and may be subject to adjustment due to technician scheduling or prior job complexity
You agree to receive appointment confirmation and reminder communications via the contact method you provided, including text messages
Cancellations should be made at least 24 hours in advance when possible. We reserve the right to charge a cancellation or no-show fee for missed appointments without adequate notice, at our discretion.
4. Estimates, Pricing, and Payment
All pricing presented on our website is for informational purposes only. Final pricing for repair, replacement, or installation services is provided after an in-person diagnostic evaluation.
Diagnostic fees are charged for repair calls and are disclosed at the time of scheduling
Diagnostic fees are waived if the customer proceeds with the recommended repair at the time of service
Estimates are valid for 30 days from date of issue unless otherwise specified
Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made in writing
We accept Zelle, ACH transfer, check, and major credit cards. We do not accept cash. Financing options, when available, are offered through third-party lenders subject to their own terms and approval requirements
We reserve the right to update our service pricing at any time without prior notice to the general public. Quoted prices are honored for the duration of an accepted estimate.
5. Maintenance Agreement Terms (Home Protection Plan)
Enrollment in The General Heating & Air Home Protection Plan (HPP) constitutes a service agreement governed by the following:
HPP membership covers scheduled Precision Maintenance Visits and member-exclusive pricing, as described in the current plan documentation at the time of enrollment
Membership is tied to the service address on file and is not transferable to a different property without our written approval
Member pricing, priority scheduling, and other benefits apply only during an active membership period
Memberships may be cancelled by either party with 30 days written notice
We reserve the right to modify HPP pricing or benefits with 30 days prior notice to active members
HPP membership does not guarantee repair, replacement, or specific outcomes. It covers the maintenance services described in the current plan documentation.
6. Warranties and Disclaimers
6a. Service Warranty
We stand behind our work. Labor performed by The General Heating & Air is warranted for 30 days from the date of service unless a different warranty period is stated in writing at the time of service. Equipment and parts carry manufacturer warranties, which are passed through to the customer. Warranty claims require that the customer contact us directly to assess the issue before any third-party work is performed on the same system.
6b. Website Disclaimer
The content on thegeneralhvac.com is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute professional engineering advice, medical advice, or a guarantee of system performance. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or applicability of any information on our website.

Our total liability for any claim arising from services provided shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service in question.

Disputes arising from actual HVAC services performed are governed by the service agreement and applicable Texas law, including the Texas Property Code.
